Manager, Market Settlements
What is the opportunity?

CACEIS Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting the European countries across various geographical time zones. Malaysia is one of the operational processing hubs that supports Custody - Transaction Management; Settlements; NAV Production; Fund Reporting; Shareholder Services; Global Fund Platform Services; Data Service Delivery; Entitlements – income and corporate actions and Reconciliations. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximize efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of our global operations, improve service quality via our ‘centers of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standard processes globally.

What will you do?

Completion of knowledge/training within process in accordance to established learning curve.
Provide coaching to team members to ensure cross-training of all aspects of Settlements in order to gain satisfactory coverage.
Ensure adherence to the agreed target operating model and communicate/escalate changes of service/scope identified in the implementation
Exhibits full leadership qualities with ability to handle difficult situations (staff or technical) and manage to a satisfactory conclusion for all concerned.  Can overcome resistance to change Accountable for the end-to-end implementation plan via the coordination of both internal and external parties (onshore and offshore)
Deliver standards to our clients and stakeholders for all activity with an aim to reduce transition costs and reduce client specific change activity (by leveraging standard models, ensuring client sign-off of activity, management and execution against the model and validation of service standards)
Involves in end-to-end settlements flow in varies market specific with attention to ensure processing are fully compliance.
Management of the status of client-initiated projects with Client Solutions, Operations, I.T. etc. resulting from change requests
Coordinates and executes change requests ensuring that they are in line with the differentiated service model defined for Coverage and mid-market clients
Monitors and promptly escalates any processing issue in advance. Ensure regular control review for all processing activities.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

·         Relevant Securities Operations/financial services experience in Custody business. Preferably in Market Settlements.
·         Proven track record in leading initiatives, project management and managing cross-functional relationships.
·         Able to manage operation while acting as Subject Matter Expert (SME).

 

Nice-to-have

·         Background on trade Input and settlement will be an advantage.

·         Strong team player.

·         Analytical thinking.
