Job summary

As a Senior Data Officer within Data Services at CACEIS Pension Centre (NL Branch), you ensure accurate, consistent and timely data that underpins our clients’ investment activities. Working in SimCorp Dimension across a wide range of financial instruments — from listed equities and bonds to complex OTC derivatives — you help deliver the data foundation for investment administration, compliance monitoring, performance measurement and client reporting. You act as a central link in the investment data chain — collaborating with teams such as Fund Accounting, Reporting, Custody and other data management experts across CACEIS, as well as with external stakeholders including asset managers and clients — to ensure data quality and reliability across our operations.

What will you do? 

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timely delivery of financial data in SimCorp Dimension
  • Set up and validate static data for a broad range of financial instruments, including listed equities, bonds and OTC derivatives
  • Monitor and validate prices, benchmarks, corporate actions and Look Through data to guarantee reliable input for valuation, performance measurement and regulatory reporting
  • Investigate and resolve data exceptions or incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement structural improvements
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external users on data-related questions and as a direct contact with clients on data related subjects
  • Collaborate and built of build bridges for closer cooperation with internal teams such as Fund Accounting, Reporting and Custody to ensure data consistency across the operational investment value chain
  • Review and analyse complex data queries and support troubleshooting related to SimCorp Dimension and data interfaces
  • Support audits and quality checks within the scope of ISAE certification
  • Contribute to the onboarding of new clients and the introduction of new instrument types and services
  • Share knowledge and coach colleagues to strengthen data awareness and consistency across the team in order to grow to a data driven organisation
  • Support the change organisation with projects related to data tasks aimed at streamlining processes and increasing efficiency
  • Play an active role in the transition of Data Services from operational data processing towards a knowledge centre of data expertise
  • Analyse and interpret complex datasets to identify trends and opportunities for data-driven insights to ultimately support our clients  with value added data solutions

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • A completed academic degree in Econometrics, Informatics or Business Administration with a strong analytical focus.

What do you bring?

  • A completed academic degree in Econometrics, Informatics or Business Administration with a strong analytical focus
  • At least 5 years of experience in data management and analysis, preferably within asset management or the banking sector
  • Solid experience with SimCorp Dimension or similar investment administration systems, and knowledge of data management frameworks such as DAMA DMBOK
  • Experience with participating in complex data migration projects where data deliverables are delivered independently
  • Strong technical toolkit, including advanced SQL, proficiency in Python or R, excellent Excel skills, and experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker
  • Familiarity with relational databases, data warehouses and ETL processes
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills — able to translate complex data into clear insights, KPIs and performance dashboards
  • Good understanding of financial markets and products such as bonds, swaps, FX, options and corporate actions
  • Strong communicator and stakeholder manager — confident presenting data insights and engaging senior stakeholders on data-related topics
  • A true team player and role model who shares knowledge, supports colleagues and performs well under pressure
  • A proactive and curious mindset — you enjoy working with data, understanding its meaning and creating value for clients and the organisation
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Dutch is considered an advantage
