Job summary

Financial & Regulatory Reporting

·         Preparation of Regulatory reporting to FCA, BOE and any other regulatory bodies.

·         The production of all financial reporting to CACEIS Bank Finance and to the French regulators via CACEIS Bank Finance.

·         Other Reporting as required by the Head of Finance

 

Management Reporting

·         Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, reforecasts and the monthly management information both for the UK and Paris.

·         Nurture and Maintain a good working relationship between Finance and the Business Lines / Support Functions on all Finance matters.

 

Financial Control 

·         Ensure the correct accounting treatment of transactions and the accuracy of the P&L

·         The review and analysis of the balance sheet, including sundry / suspense accounts before final validation by the Head of Finance

·         Help the Head of Finance with the Production of all internal management control reporting

·         Assist the Head of Finance with the delivery of quarterly group reporting for the Paris Head Office

 

 General Accounting

·         Coding and sending of the Suppliers invoices to the AP team in Spain

·         Preparation and booking of various accounting journals

·         Provide the first level of processing and payment of general expenses, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, sundry receivables and (in conjunction with the tax team) the VAT return.

·         Payroll Process, File validation, Journals booking and reconciliation

·         Follow up and reconciliation of the intercompany recharges

 

Invoicing

·         Assist with the UK client invoicing process (production currently in Luxembourg)

·         Responsibility for payment of third party invoices

 

Tax/HMRC

·         Assist in the computation of the Quarterly VAT Returns and ensure timely payment to HMRC

·         Provision of data to the CACIB UK Tax team to enable them to submit all relevant tax returns.

Supplementary Information

Other Tasks

·         Update Finance department Procedure annually

·         To Partake in other Finance related projects and tasks

·         Assist Head of Finance with ad hoc work as required

 

Individual Responsibilities

Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy. Complete any mandatory training in line with legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements.


Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

Academic qualification / Speciality

Essential 

Accounting qualification and suitable experience of UK financial matters

Experience

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a UK bank

 Financial Services knowledge is advantageous.

P&L, Balance sheet with IFRS knowledge

A track record of working to tight timelines and meeting strict deadlines

Working well across a range of teams, within a small team and activities

 

Desirable 

Experience in Statutory accounting  and BOE Reporting

Excellent knowledge of UK Banking Regulations (PRA, FCA and Basel III)

Required skills
