The Assistant Team Manager in Custody Settlements Control is responsible to ensure all team members complete their designated investigation tasks in accordance with operational procedures. This role seeks capability in stepping-in during absence of team manager to govern all administrative and operational tasks in the team. The ATM will perform multiple controls in daily operations, lead the resolution of all queries, and continuously seek improvement to address issues at root cause.
Working hours: 9am to 6pm MYT
What will you do?
- Responsible to ensure timely and accurate delivery of investigation work by the team, bound by operational procedure, with target to meet KRI (key risk indicators).
- Through strong technical understanding of operational processes, consistently analyse common trade issues to address the issues at root cause to avoid recurrence.
- Ensure operational procedures are updated following every change in process or control and ensure every team member has well understood the changes.
- Assist Manager in day-to-day operations of the team in terms of administrative and governance tasks.
- Identifying process improvement ideas. Manages efficiency and productivity of the department ensuring E&O losses are mitigated and minimized.
- Ensure all team members are meeting the expected competency level through cross-training and personal coaching.

Minimal education level
Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Academic qualification / Speciality
- Very strong knowledge in reconciliation for cash and asset
- Very strong understanding of the firm’s policies for CASS requirements in relation to identification and resolution of reconciliation breaks
Level of minimal experience
3-5 years
Experience
- At least 4 years of experience working in Custody or Middle Office asset servicing operations
- Experience in leading a team of 5 or more in non-managerial tasks
- Strong technical understanding in trade settlement requirements and specific SWIFT instruction format requirements for specific markets
- Full understanding in the implications of failed settlement across all Asia and Middle East markets, and all market specifics
- Good understanding of ICSD, America, and European market requirements of settlements
- Strong understanding in the connection of upstream-downstream dependency of Custody Settlement Control with its stakeholders
