What will you do?
The Banking Accountant intern will assist with the production of monthly management accounts & statistics and financial reporting for both the CACEIS BL-Dublin Branch (“the Branch”), and CACEIS Ireland Limited (“the Company”) and to deliver upon the performance objectives set by the Team Manager - Finance.
Implement the day-to-day financial control of the Branch and Company as directed by the Team Manager - Finance, with particular focus on recording income receipts and creation of income accruals; payment and recording expenses; cash and credit card; cost control; relationships with creditors;
Maintain daily cash reconciliations for all accounts held by the Branch and the Company.
Liaise with the Fund Accounting Department to ensure accuracy of monthly income accruals;
Prepare and collate statistics for the Branch and the Company and assist with the monthly management and financial reporting;
Prepare and collate monthly management papers for Senior Management meetings and quarterly papers for Branch and Company Board meetings.
Assist in the preparation and delivery of annual statutory accounts for the Company, liaise the Company’s auditors;
Adhere to the financial reporting requirements, format and deadlines, of CACEIS Group;
Assist and contribute to the preparation of quarterly budgets for both the Branch and the Company, focusing on income, assets and volumes.
Respond to management and auditor queries in a comprehensive and timely manner.
Prepare and file timely bi-monthly VAT returns for the Group;
Facilitate the internal and external auditors with their queries;
Resolve and escalate, as appropriate, any issues; and
Contribute to ad hoc projects as required.
Liaise with CACEIS Bank peers across the Group, as appropriate;
Identify opportunities for innovation and performance improvement in process and systems within the Finance Department.
