Job summary
What is the opportunity?
The incumbent will be a leader with strong business and financial acumen who is able to steer the business to meet its vision, mission and long-term goal. The role will support the Head of Client Operations Malaysia and be a part of the Senior Management Team in Malaysia. The candidate will have a lead role in supporting both daily operations and global strategic initiatives which will involve interacting with other CACEIS offices and various product line within the organization for the key APAC/Europe market and clients.
What will you do?
Main responsibilities and requirements of the role are as follows:
- Ultimately accountable for providing operational excellence around the day to day activities & production goals of Market Solutions, ensuring that all services to our Clients in APAC/Europe meet set standards and
objectives - Collaborate with Product, Global Client Coverage, Group Risk Management and the Front Office to deliver enhanced client experience.
- Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration
- Provide strong leadership to drive and lead people through changes which includes implementation of strategic projects or change for key clients or system changes in the geographies in scope
- Be a strong advocate of operational change governance, risk management and product enhancements
Primary Responsibilities
- Implement the CACEIS Operating Model including staff, systems, locations, budget etc. in a Follow The Sun approach
- Own the end to end process for each of the work-streams ensuring controls are enhanced and risk is reduced
- Drive a culture of Risk Awareness across the department and proactively identify risks and control gaps in the business
- Create an environment of continuous improvement and change, covering aspects of workflows, processes and procedures
- Financial Planning and Control – Operate within the annual operating budget and continuously look for opportunities to optimize and reduce operating costs
- Identification & escalation of issues and problems to CACEIS Senior Management in Malaysia and other locations

Key Relationships
- The role depends on external and internal relationships, including Treasury, Network Management, Risk, Compliance, Credit, Reconciliations, Finance, Product Management, etc
- It is critical to have client oriented mindset approach and build relationships with all key groups and external service providers, keeping aware of market changes and regulations regarding payments to ensure we are up to-date and compliant

- Minimum a recognized degree in relevant field, or professional qualification

Experience
Must Have
- Minimum 10-15 years of leadership role with strong leadership qualities
- Analytical thinking, result oriented, innovation, ability to improve process and efficiency.
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Transformation and change management
- SME in Treasury Services products - FX/Sec Lending/Cash Management.
- Knowledge of global product infrastructure, cash products, FX markets, funding techniques, SWIFT formats, Securities Lending.
- Proven track record in leading & building successful Operations teams
- Experience and availability to build a strong and experienced team.
- Experience of building and managing teams in a high pressure and high impact environment
- Strong Communication and Presentation skills. Ability to present to senior audiences and chair working
groups - Advanced knowledge of securities and FX industry and cash markets
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge of IT projects delivery supporting Market Solutions processes
- Knowledge of Sec Lending/FX forums and future regulations regarding payments changes.
