What is the opportunity?

The Senior Business Analyst will act as a central coordination and leadership point within the ETF organisation. This role will drive ETF product enhancements, manage cross-functional initiatives involving internal and external stakeholders and lead strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will combine strong project management and business analysis skills with deep knowledge of ETFs and a solid technical background. They will be a key point of contact for ETF-related change, ensuring that business objectives, operational readiness, and client requirements are aligned and delivered effectively.

 

What will you do?

Reporting and Key Responsibilities

1.       Product Enhancement & Change Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of ETF product enhancements (new features, operational improvements, data/reporting enhancements, technology changes)
  • Work closely with the ETF stakeholders to translate product strategy and roadmap into clear, actionable requirements and project plans
  • Coordinate design workshops with subject matter experts to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and compliant with regulatory and operational standards
  • Track delivery timelines, manage risks and issues, and proactively escalate where necessary to ensure timely and high-quality implementation

2.       ETF Expertise & Technical Insight

  • Understanding of ETFs including structure, issuance models, operational lifecycle, primary/secondary market, stakeholders
  • Work closely with IT to translate business needs into clear functional specifications and to understand technical constraints, opportunities, and architecture impacts
  • Lead the various project committees and produce the appropriate materials
  • Own detailed project plans and track progress against agreed timelines
  • Contribute to improving data quality, reporting capabilities, and system integrations that support ETF operations and client servicing
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and market trends relevant to ETFs, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation or improvement
  • Act a subject matter expert for the ETF organisation
  • Support ETF operational teams

3.       Process Improvement & Governance

  • Analyse existing ETF processes end-to-end and propose enhancements to efficiency, control, and client experience
  • Design and document target operating models, workflows, and procedures for new products or clients
  • Ensure that changes adhere to internal governance, risk, and compliance standards
  • Support the development of best practices within the ETF organisation

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Post-secondary education with an accounting/finance or business concentration or equivalent experience

Level of minimal experience

Experience

  • Experience (5+ years) in a business analyst or similar role within financial services, preferably with direct exposure to ETFs, index funds, or related products
  • Ability to work closely with Operations, Product, Technology, Relationship Management, and external stakeholders (clients, custodians, administrators, market makers, exchanges)

Required skills

  • Comfortable with system workflows, data models, reporting tools, and integration concepts; able to bridge business and technology teams effectively.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to work with data and have a structure approach to investigations
  • Comfortable with standard office tools, particular excel and excel driven formulas
  • Interpersonal and networking skills with a proven track record of dealing with clients, management, colleagues and staff. Comfortable interacting with various operational teams
  • Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Risk management and mitigation focus
  • Proven organisational and time management skills
  • Self-starter with a high degree of ownership, able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and work to tight deadlines
  • Client-focused mindset, with a strong appreciation of service quality and long-term relationship building
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, primarily to Luxembourg and Paris, as business needs require
  • French language proficiency is an advantage but not essential
