Job summary

As Fund Accountant at CACEIS Pension Centre (CPC), you are responsible for the valuation, accounting and control of portfolios of funds and mandates within an international and dynamic environment. The role includes the accurate and timely calculation and publication of Net Asset Values (NAV), the processing and reconciliation of fund transactions, and providing high-quality input for financial, regulatory and investor reporting.

Working on complex fund structures, you play an important role in safeguarding the quality and reliability of our services. Together with colleagues in the Netherlands and Kuala Lumpur, you operate in an environment where operational excellence, risk management and client focus go hand in hand.

You also contribute to the transition towards more automated, data-driven and controlled fund accounting processes. By continuously improving processes and maintaining a strong control framework, you help support accurate valuations, timely reporting and a high level of service for our clients.

What will you do as Fund Accountant?

  • Deliver end‑to‑end NAV calculations for assigned portfolios of funds within agreed deadlines, including securities pricing verification, calculation of management and performance fees, and distribution of NAVs to clients and stakeholders.
  • Independently process the full range of fund transactions, including securities trades, cash movements, FX contracts, derivatives, corporate actions,  and private market investments, ensuring correct accounting treatment and timely settlement.
  • Perform daily cash, securities and general ledger reconciliations and  investigate and resolve the majority of breaks autonomously.
  • Manage pending items (cash, securities, liabilities, dividends) and escalate aged or complex breaks with clear documentation.
  • Support client and fund onboarding activities, including contributing to  process improvements and performing user acceptance testing (UAT) for new or changed processes and systems.
  • Collect and analyze operational and financial data using predefined tools and methods; identify, assess and escalate operational issues in line with defined procedures.
  • Apply tax control processes and provide analytical support on tax‑related topics within the fund accounting domain.
  • Contribute to audit and operational compliance by following internal procedures, risk controls and regulatory requirements while supporting internal and external audits.
  • Participate in quality reviews, root cause analyses and continuous improvement initiatives, proposing corrective and preventive actions to reduce errors and manual work.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Risk, Compliance, Client Service and IT and act as a reliable point of contact for queries related to your funds.
  • Develop your knowledge of financial instruments, regulations, systems and market practices and share insights and best practices with colleagues.
