According Business France's eligibility conditions, the Volontariat International en Entreprise (VIE) is an assignment in a French company operating overseas for professionals between the age of 18 and 28 who are European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Iceland und Liechtenstein) nationals.

CACEIS Fonds Service GmbH in Frankfurt is the entity of CACEIS Germany in charge of fund administration for real estate investment managers. 

The Funds Administration team carries out fund accounting for real estate investment funds and real estate companies under German investment law.

The accounting function is outsourced to us by our clients.

The holder of the position will learn and understand how the various asset classes bought and sold by an real estate investment fund (e.g. real estate, real estate holdings/companies, securities, fx forwards) are to be accounted and how they influence the net asset value of the fund.

Besides a financial products know how, the holder of the position will learn and understand the nature of real estate investment funds and will investigate on a detailed level the drivers of value changes. Furthermore, the holder of the position will gather in-depth knowledge and experience in hands-on fund accounting.

In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity to gain insights in the related fields of Regulatory- and Client Reporting, Investment Compliance and Tax Services.

Your main missions as VIE - Real Estate Investment Funds will be:

• Booking of real estate transactions and real estate companies
• Net Asset Value preparation and verification
• Reconciling accounts
• Clarifying discrepancies with the management companies and the depository bank
• Supporting the creation of month-end and year-end statements. Cooperation with auditors
• Supporting the Reporting team (Investment Compliance, Financial Reporting & Tax, Regulatory Reporting) and customers in their duties
• Supporting internal projects

Master's Degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting or equivalent

A first experience in an accounting department, preferable in a real estate company would be appreciated
