The Senior Client Operations Officer of Settlements Control team in the Custody is responsible for accurate and timely investigation and resolution of settlement breaks. This role involves managing daily operations, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Senior Client Operations Officer will execute complex daily operations, address operational issues with utmost urgency, implementing process improvements, and maintaining high standards of service delivery to clients.
Working hours: 9am to 6pm MYT
What will you do?
Ensure accurate and timely investigation of assigned breaks in accordance to operating procedure of the team
Perform checks and controls to ensure all issues are highlighted in reports, and escalated to manager where applicable.
Take charge to solve complex issues guided by procedure and guidance from more senior team members
Complete all reporting tasks and handle all queries in a timely manner.
Diligent follow up on all open issues until complete resolution
Escalate operational issues or any abnormality in according to local escalation protocol
Guide junior team members in improving their technical competency
Support the team manager in any ad hoc requests in relation to the team’s core business or departmental activities

Candidate criteria
Minimal education level
Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Academic qualification / Speciality
- Strong knowledge in reconciliation for cash and asset
- Strong understanding of the firm’s policies for CASS requirements in relation to identification and resolution of reconciliation breaks
Level of minimal experience
3-5 years
Experience
- Strong technical understanding in trade settlement requirements and specific instruction format
- Strong understanding in the implications of failed settlement across all Asia and Middle East markets
- Strong understanding in the connection of upstream-downstream dependency of Custody Settlements Control with its stakeholders
Required skills
- Strong comprehension in understanding an issue and problem-solving skills.
- Clear and concise communication to coordinate a solution for trade issue among stakeholders
- Good command in English – ability to speak, write, listen to European stakeholders (both native and non-native English)
- Strong sense of urgency in dealing with every issue
- Strong understanding of escalation and able to work under pressure.
