Job summary

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review of prospectuses and other fund documentation to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and CACEIS’s requirements.
  • Send initial drafts of various agreements to clients based on CACEIS Group templates and negotiate with clients and their legal advisers until execution.
  • Provide support to all departments on ad hoc legal issues in line with current regulations.
  • Conduct research and analysis on regulatory matters affecting the funds industry and track the regulatory developments affecting the Company and the Branch.
  • Liaise with other legal departments in the CACEIS Group on regulatory changes, or changes to the Group’s procedures or template agreements.
  • Prepare legal department presentations for quarterly board meetings.
  • Advise on legal corporate matters affecting the Company and any legal formalities.
  • Manage the routine filing and administration requirements of the Legal Department.

Attributes and Qualifications:

  • Newly qualified solicitor or barrister.
  • Good knowledge of the investment fund industry.
  • Good attention to detail and drafting skills.
  • Organised and an ability to prioritise workload appropriately.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Good communication skills.
  • French desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent Microsoft Word proficiency.
