What is the opportunity?


The Investment Management Services team at CACEIS Malaysia provides critical middle and back-office support to asset managers and institutional clients, ensuring accurate trade processing, position keeping, cash management, corporate actions, and regulatory reporting across multiple asset classes. The team operates within a strong control environment, delivering timely and compliant services that underpin client investment objectives.

The Senior Client Operations Officer, FAM Malaysia, plays a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of daily monitoring activities within the Flow Acquisition Monitoring (FAM) team. This role is responsible for overseeing complex trade flows, validating incoming transactional trade, and ensuring timely issue resolution. The Senior Officer acts as a subject matter expert, supporting junior team members and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity and operational stability. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to exception management and continuous improvement. The Flow Acquisition Monitoring (FAM) team plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless and accurate flow of transaction across systems and business lines.

  • FAM is responsible for monitoring, validating, and maintaining the integrity of incoming instruction feeds from various upstream sources.
  • The team acts as a gatekeeper to ensure that operational data is complete, timely, and accurate for downstream reporting, analytics, and regulatory use.
  • Operating in a high-volume, high-availability environment, FAM provides early detection and resolution of trade anomalies or interruptions.

 

  • The team collaborates with business units, IT, data engineering, and support functions to ensure data quality and mitigate operational risk.

 

  • As part of a broader data governance and operations ecosystem, FAM supports strategic initiatives by ensuring reliable data pipelines that underpin critical decision-making and compliance activities.

 

  • FAM is instrumental in enhancing operational resilience through the implementation of automated monitoring tools, exception handling workflows, and continuous improvement practices.

What will you do?

  • Completion of all instruction within the agreed timeframe.
    Ensure accuracy of processing is in accordance to CACEIS Investor & Treasury Services’ expectation.
  • Resolution of queries in a timely manner.
  • Seek ways to enhance and improve process and environment and adherence to risk factors to seek ways of mitigation.
  • Adhere CACEIS Investor &Treasury Services’ core standards.  Posting of instruction in accordance to procedures.
  • Perform end-to-end processing of trades that fall into the queue to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of transaction.

Minimum 2 years in relevant operational knowledge and experience.

Required skills

• Experience in handling operational issues, trade validation, and exception management.
• Familiarity with trade lifecycle processes, especially in a high-volume and time-sensitive environment, is preferred.
• Basic Operational Experience: Basic experience on the business day-to-day process specifically involving accounting, portfolio reporting and database keeping
• Hands-on experience in monitoring and validating transaction that flows in financial services or related industries.
• Proven ability to investigate, resolve, and escalate trade anomalies and operational issues.
• Exposure to trade lifecycle processes, exception management, and instruction quality controls.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams such as IT, Risk, Compliance, and Business units.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and operational risk frameworks.
• Strong background in using monitoring tools and handling high-volume, time-sensitive data environments.
