Job summary

Mission:
At CACEIS (Canada) Asset Servicing Limited, you will join our Private Equity and Real Estate Solutions (PERES) department in charge of offering a complete range of services to Private Equity, Real Estate and Securitization funds, adapted to each investment strategy.

As a Team Manager, your role will be to ensure the optimal functioning of the Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency activities; to lead and supervise the team as well as to contribute to the development of the department.

More specifically, your main mission will be the following:


Activity management

  • Know and implement the priorities defined by the management/department manager;
  • Define operational priorities, set objectives and deadlines for the team and organize work accordingly;
  • Ensure the proper completion of tasks (quality and deadlines) and the achievement of objectives via KPIs;
  • Provide support and technical expertise to the team in accounting and consolidation;
  • Ensure the continuity of services by anticipating the necessary resources;
  • Ensure the adequacy between the volume of tasks to be performed and the resources assigned;
  • Report to your superiors, report alerts/blocking points;
  • Communicate on the evolution of processes/procedures and ensure the proper application;
  • Be the escalation point with clients and monitor client and investor relationships globally;
  • Management and steering of teams.

Management

  • Establish positive and constructive relationships with team members and other teams/departments;
  • To create team spirit, motivate employees and support them in case of difficulty;
  • Train employees and develop their skills;
  • Define the objectives of each employee and evaluate their results;
  • Involve the team in reflections and decisions;
  • Participate in the selection process for new recruits.
  • You will also be required to participate in non-recurring and cross-functional projects.

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Higher education in Auditing-Accounting or Finance.

Level of minimal experience

3-5 years

Experience

  • 3-5 years experience in the field of Fund accounting and, preferably, in Private Equity/Real Estate funds.
  • Proven experience in people management; team coaching & development and mentoring

Required skills

  • Ability to manage priorities and have a certain flexibility and ease in dealing with constraints;
  • Analytical and synthesis skills;
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, both in relation to other departments and with customers or external stakeholders;
  • Leadership and initiative skills;
  • Ability to anticipate, foresee, react in all situation
  • Organized, rigorous and attentive to detail;
  • Proficiency in the Office Pack and in particular Excel.
  • Knowledge of one or more accounting software(s) including BOB50/GPC/YARDI.
  • Knowledge of consolidation software, ideally Mona (Sigma)

Technical skills required

  • Knowledge of investment funds, securities and Real Estate activities;
  • Technical accounting and tax knowledge (accounting standards, accounting techniques, consolidation methods and techniques, corporate tax developments, VAT, IFRS & US Gaap);
  • Very good mastery of accounting techniques;
  • Legal and financial knowledge (legal forms, legal obligations, capital increase processes, different financial instruments, different valuation methods, etc.);
  • Taste for numbers.
