What is the opportunity?

The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of our global operations, improve service quality via our ‘centers of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standard processes globally.

 

As an Assistant Manager of Clearing Services you will be managing the day-to-day clearing ETD activities, including trade flow monitoring, post trade reconciliation, client reporting and manage trade data control. The position requires good experience and background in operations including familiarity with ETD product. This person is proactive, team focus, dynamic and he/she adds value by working on a number of simultaneous tasks with minimal supervision while paying special attention to details. Our mission is to perform day-to-day operations in offering transparency and high level of control to our clients regarding ETD clearing process.

 

What will you do?

  • Ensure quality and timeliness signoff for Clearing process – Trade flow monitoring, post trade reconciliation, client reporting & manage trade data control
  • Ensure all queries are managed effectively and escalation are sent to the Manager on timely manner.
  • Signoff on EOD control and check requirement
  • Liaise with other department units to ensure a high-quality service
  • Implement processes for team efficiencies and participate in business improvements projects
  • Ensure procedures are updated (in accordance with internal and client policies) and adhered to and where necessary define them

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field

Level of minimal experience

Must Have

  • Knowledge of ETD product & trade life cycle
  • Proven track record in leading initiatives, project management and managing cross-functional relationships
  • Able to manage operation while acting as Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and networking abilities with clients / business partner
  • Organizational & time management skills
  • Computer Literacy - Intermediate MS Office Excel and Access
  • Ability to work under pressure

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Bloomberg & UBIX will be an advantage
  • Fund Accounting background will be an advantage
  • Strong ability to work as part of team
  • Analytical thinking
