The Senior Operations Officer, Depositary Operation Services PERES  is responsible for the accurate and timely operation of agreed day-to-day processes supporting the transaction management, cash & security tracking, document management and ownership verification functions across the range of PERES structures supported by the business, and for reviewing the work of other administration team members in support of the ‘maker checker’ process control function.

 

What will you do?

  • Accurate and timely input and validation of manual entries to cash and transaction reconciliation logs, collation of investment/divestment papers, and presentation metrics and control data.

  • Ensure essential checks are complete and any outstanding items are recorded and cleared.

  • Respond to all queries from client, auditors and internal stakeholders, in a timely and effective manner and propose solutions for consideration with the agreed governance and change framework.

  • Ensure activities and controls are documented in comprehensive procedures and support the governance and control of the team through the application of professional awareness risk mindset.

  • Act as partner to junior team members (COO and intern) in training them to understand the basic processes and guidelines.

  • Pro-actively proposing ideas/recommendations to enhance processes for increased efficiency in service delivery.

  • Responsible for supporting the ATM/Specialist in guiding the team and serving as the main contact when ATM/Specialist is unavailable.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Tertiary education in relevant background: Accounting, Finance, Investment Banking, etc.

Level of minimal experience

3-5 years

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Transaction Management and /or Depository
  • Knowledge in Depositary Operation Services system: E-Font, Casiopay or equivalent applications
  • Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge in fund and general administration procedures

Required skills

  • Understanding of and adherence to escalation protocols at all times
  • Ability to prioritize and managing team workloads in meeting strict datelines
  • Good interpersonal skills and networking abilities with sub-custodians and internal departments

Technical skills required

Additional automation skills such as VBA, Python, Macro and etc.
