What is the opportunity?

CACEIS Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting the European countries across various geographical time zones. Malaysia is one of the operational processing hubs that supports Custody - Transaction Management; Settlements; NAV Production; Fund Reporting; Shareholder Services; Global Fund Platform Services; Data Service Delivery; Entitlements – income and corporate actions and Reconciliations. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximize efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of our global operations, improve service quality via our ‘centers of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standard processes globally.

Reporting to the Director, individual will be responsible in managing the instruction related to IMS process in line with the agreed SLA. Individual to constantly seek opportunity to increase production accuracy for operations in Kuala Lumpur serving the hubs of different geographies-based client. The role will support this region with working hours between 9.00AM up to 1:00AM CET depending on shift coverage.

 

What will you do?

• Plan and manage delivery of key projects, including gathering of business.
• People Management – Driving people initiatives through the formulation of development plans with the team managers to build talent pipeline.
• Project Management – Driving key projects for the department with the Business Analyst and operation teams and acting as escalation point for key risk areas within a project.
• Developing future plans – Anticipate growth and changes, devise plans to adjust and to build a sustainable operating model in the long term
• Operational Effectiveness – Develop and implement comprehensive operating procedures and establish an environment of continuous improvement that assesses workflow, processes and procedures on an ongoing basis to maximize efficiency and quality within the department and alignment with globally harmonized and agreed procedures.
• Risk Management - Ensure procedures are adequate to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory & audit requirements as well as internal risk management policies to mitigate financial/reputational risk for existing processes as well as new transitions.
• People Management – Directly manage a team from a business and people perspective; this an extended role from the existing mandate as mentioned above.
• Human Resources Management and Development - Build a high-performance team and ensure human resource policies are effectively implemented and administered.
