What will you do?

  • Oversee the daily activities of the Client Portfolio Compliance Kuala Lumpur team, ensuring all controls are accurately and completely performed within the system.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Division (HOD) and Head of Line (HOL) to apply the operational strategy for CACEIS effectively.
  • Lead and execute projects aligned with the Client Portfolio Compliance team strategy as agreed with the HOD and HOL. 
  • Establish governance frameworks to ensure comprehensive risk coverage across the business.
  • Manage the team efficiently to ensure all services are delivered accurately and timely. 
  • Drive the development and management of staff and organizational capabilities.
  • Act as the escalation point for the team to resolve any arising issues promptly. 
  • Foster strong team interaction and communication to support operational excellence. 
  • Contribute to defining strategy and future direction for the Client Portfolio Compliance function.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Post-secondary education with a focus on accounting or finance, or equivalent. 

  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in the field.

Must-have

  • Strong technical and financial knowledge of risk management environments, investment strategies, and regulatory frameworks including UCITS Directives, ESMA guidelines, and European national laws applicable to UCIs. 

  • Solid understanding of financial products and derivatives instruments.  

  • Expertise in financial instrument eligibility analysis (e.g., target funds, structured products, indexes). 

  • Good knowledge of cross-location operations, systems, and IT environments compliant with rules and procedures. 

  • Proven experience in team governance and people development. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 

  •  Analytical thinker with a strategic approach and ability to make sound decisions under pressure. 

  • Demonstrated change management and leadership skills. 

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines or SLA requirements. 

  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Nice-to-have

  • Superior or relevant financial education. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access). 
  • Proficiency in German, Italian, or French languages.
