Job summary

What is the opportunity?

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for the accuracy and delivery of the Financial Statements and Regulatory Submissions. Ensure that all procedure are followed by the Fund Accountants.

 

Region: Europe

Working hours: 9:00AM – 6:00PM

 

What will you do?

Team management of daily operation:

  • Planning and Delegating Tasks eg organize the team’s daily workload based on priorities, deadlines and available resources; Assign tasks to the right people according to skills and capacity.
  • Monitoring team performance eg. Track performance metrics such as productivity, quality and adherence to deadlines. Provide feedback and adjust strategies to maintain performance standards.
  • Problem-solving and Decision making eg. Handle operational roadblocks quickly to avoid disruptions.


Operational Controls and Support

  • Financial Statements and Regulatory reports preparation and review
  • Coaching and guiding the team
  • Process improvement projects

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • University degree or equivalent. (ACCA/CIMA/CPA preferred)

Level of minimal experience

6-10 years

Experience

  • 6-7 Years
  • Financial Reporting  Experience which mastered the reporting process, gained an understanding of accounting standards (including  knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)) and developed leadership skills.
  • Extensive experience in the Financial industry with good business acumen

Specific Knowledge

  • Good knowledge about Fund Industry, products and Financial Markets in general
  • Knowledgeable in geography’s regulatory environment
  • Good technical knowledge in Financial Statements and Regulatory Reporting
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and country specific accounting standards)

Required skills

  • Sound planning and organization, management skills
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Enrolment in an accounting designation program would be an asset
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Good networking and client relationship
  • Computer literacy
  • Independent, confident, self-motivated, pro-active and mature;
  • Willing to take on new challenges and work under pressure.
