What is the opportunity?

 

CACEIS was set up in Cyberjaya, Malaysia in July 2023 with approximately 1,000 employees, with the acquisition of RBC investor Services’ European business and Malaysia centre of excellence.

As a centre of excellence, the team in Malaysia provides asset services, custody and payments for clients in Europe (Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Switzerland and United Kingdom) with a global operating model that maximises efficiencies across time zones, supports 17/5 operational capability with follow the sun model, enhances scalability of our global operations and the implementation of standardized processes.

 

 To provide CACEIS clients with timely, accurate and efficient processing of all Entitlement events and associated daily entries and to ensure that the investor/client is notified and/or paid as appropriate. To manage Operational risk, financial control, development of the team’s operational capabilities and to optimize operational efficiency. To support the Senior Management of Entitlements and Tax Operations Malaysia in the continuous development of efficient and effective organization with a high focus on risk mitigation.

What will you do?

 

  • Ensure the quality of service delivered is in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA) in place; superior quality, timeliness and cost effective of information delivery to internal and external clients
  • Ensure that comprehensive up-to-date operating procedures are maintained and are easily accessible to the processing teams
  • Ensure a robust and relevant control framework is deployed within the team to mitigate operational risk
  • Ensure Operational Events are maintained at an absolute minimum, or where occurring are not repetitive in nature as part of managing key risk indicators
  • Ensure optimal use of financial/people resources to manage volumes, changes in practice or product development
  • Ensure that best practice is shared and implemented across all regional operating units undertaking similar processes
  • Effectively use, develop and implement metrics, KPI’s and capacity modeling to better manage the BAU business processes
  • Take ownership of all financial risk associated with the day to day processing of your team

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Bachelor's Degree in related field.

Must-have

  • 5-8 years securities industry experience
  • 2-3 years people management experience
  • Knowledge of Securities Operations/financial services experience operations
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing workloads and time efficiently to meet stringent deadlines in a stressful environment.
  • Good written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

 Nice-to-have

  • Securities entitlement and tax knowledge
