As an Assistant Manager, OPSU, you will manage a team that is accountable to assist and support production and users, in particular by harnessing his/her expertise and by providing training. He/she is responsible for the continuous improvement of business processes and their quality reporting. Finally, he/she takes charge of or oversees technical-functional topics in relation to the business line.

What will you do?

  • Project Management - Write and/or assist with writing all types of deliverables, as a project manager or contributor, linked to project management (schedule, statement of requirements, test specifications, etc.), change management or trainings (facilitate internal or external training, write training materials and, in some cases, write exams and their answer keys, etc.)
  • User assistance and support -  Provide assistance and support to his/her team and to any other CACEIS unit in the framework of one-off or recurring events (implementation of new products or services, complex portfolios, seasonal activities, temporary assignment, etc.)
  • Production tracking - May monitor the proper integration of flows or production activities through appropriate applications and handle corrective actions and alerts if there are malfunctions.
  • Quality & management of business processes - Administer and support all types of knowledge bases and all documentation for the business line (procedures, operating methods, processes, operational descriptions, etc.), in particular by monitoring his/her activity. Take responsibility for the continuous improvement of processes and their related procedures, by leveraging his/her knowledge of them and overseeing the necessary actions, which may or may not be cross-functional.

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Post-secondary education with an accounting/finance concentration or equivalent.

Level of minimal experience

6-10 years

Experience

  • Typically 4 – 6 years of related experience in Fund Accounting processes and / or Business application support processes.
  • Propose improvements in terms of organisation, process, tool, etc. on the basis of a thorough analysis to increase quality and performance or reduce risks of malfunctions.
  • Manage a project from start to finish by defining and implementing all the resources necessary for its success in keeping with the quality/cost/time requirements, in line with the project target.
  • Work on an information system tool in accordance with the permissions defined to make modifications and/or corrections to data/parameters as needed, in compliance with the defined strategy (in conjunction with the production business lines).
  • Choose and implement teaching methods and techniques adapted to the content and format of a training action with the goal of giving participants better support as they learn.
