Job summary
At CACEIS Bank, Luxembourg branch, you will join our Private Equity and Real Estate Solutions (PERES) department, which provides a comprehensive range of services—tailored to specific investment strategies—for Private Equity, real estate, and securitization funds.
As Head of the Depositary Unit, your role will be to ensure the optimal functioning of the Depositary business, lead and supervise the team, and contribute to the service's development.
Specifically, your main responsibilities will include:
Business Management
- Ensure the optimal functioning of the Depositary business, lead and supervise the team, and contribute to the service's development.
- Understand and implement priorities defined by management/the department head.
- Define operational priorities, set objectives and deadlines for the team, and organize work accordingly.
- Ensure the proper execution of tasks and technical file reviews (regarding quality and deadlines) and the achievement of objectives via KPIs.
- Provide guidance and technical expertise to the team regarding all aspects of the depositary function.
- Ensure service continuity by anticipating resource requirements.
- Monitor the balance between the workload and allocated resources.
- Report to management and escalate alerts or roadblocks.
- Communicate process and procedure updates and ensure their proper implementation.
- Act as the point of escalation for clients (in coordination with the Client Service Management team) and oversee overall client and investor relationships.
- Manage and steer the teams.
Management
- Build positive, constructive relationships with team members and other teams/departments.
- Foster team spirit, motivate staff, and support them in overcoming difficulties.
- Train staff and develop their skills. - Define objectives for each team member and evaluate their results;
- Involve the team in discussions and decision-making;
- Participate in the recruitment process.
You will also be involved in non-recurring, cross-functional projects.

Experience
You have 6 or more years of experience, preferably in the field of depositary services, specifically with Private Equity or Real Estate funds.
Proven team management experience is required.

Technical skills:
- Knowledge of investment funds, securities, and real estate activities;
- Technical knowledge of the depositary function;
- Legal and financial knowledge (legal structures, statutory obligations, capital increase processes, various financial instruments, valuation methods, etc.);
- Aptitude for document analysis.

- Comfortable managing priorities, with the flexibility and ease to handle constraints;
- Analytical and synthesis skills;

Technical skills required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Languages
Fluency in French and English is essential. Proficiency in German is an asset.
