Job summary

Within the Investment management services division, the “Back to Front service” offer offers CACEIS clients (asset management companies and institutional investors) a range of products and services to outsource the “support” functions to management and thus allow them to focus on their core business

In this context, Investment Management Services performs the following tasks:

Trade Management:

Receiving Front Office instructions from customers. Confirmation of these transactions with brokers / counterparties; enrichment of these instructions in IRL ( Payment Instructions Delivery) and fees, transmission to the partners of the client

Position keeping:

Holding of portfolio management position; reconciliation of positions with custodians/valuators; production of suspense reporting to clients

Corporate Actions:

Management of transactions on securities held in the portfolio in accordance with the instructions of the clients' Front Office

Your team:

You will join the Investment Management Services department currently being set up at CACEIS Bank, Belgium Branch and an international business line with nearly 200 employees.

 

As Middle Officer, you:

  • Match, automatically or manually, between transactions received from managers/traders and confirmations received from brokers/counterparties
  • Validate the market transactions (for sending to the depositary, the clearing and / or the valuator in the expected formats)
  • Check for completeness of negotiated lines
  • Take charge of controlling the management position holding of our clients
  • Reconcile securities positions and transactions with the positions of custodians, valuators, clearing agents.
  • Analyse and manage suspensions and complaints.
  • Produce specific reporting and operational analysis.
  • Contribute to process improvement and incident impact analysis

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

1-year Master's (M1)

Academic qualification / Speciality

bachelor's or master's degree with financial orientation

Level of minimal experience

3-5 years

Experience

A first experience in middle or back office is desired and an interest in the financial markets is recommended

 

Are real assets:

  • Experience in vanilla products
  • Experience with the Aladdin middle-office platform
  • Experience in customer relations

Required skills

Knowledge of financial instruments and markets (mainly securities (equity, interest rate products)

Ability to integrate into a business line with an international organisation. The person does not work on a perimeter assigned to him (common messaging, common blotter)

Good communication skills (oral and written – relational quality)

Spirit of analysis and synthesis, rigour, involvement, curiosity, autonomy

Accept repetitive tasks (matching operations and tracking outcomes)

Technical skills required

Master of office tools (Excel, Powerpoint and Word)

Knowledge of VBA is a plus
